Why OTP detection matters in a temporary inbox
The slow part of temporary email is often not creating the address. It is what happens after the website says “check your email”: wait, refresh, locate the right message, open it, find the code, select it and copy it.
MailOnce is designed to collapse that chain. New messages arrive in the active inbox in real time, and verification content can be surfaced as an action instead of being buried inside the message body.
How MailOnce finds the useful action in a message
The incoming message remains the source. MailOnce inspects the message for patterns that look like one-time verification codes or confirmation links and presents the relevant action in context.
Detection is a convenience layer, not a replacement for the original email. The Show message action remains important when you want to verify the sender, read the surrounding instructions or confirm that the detected item belongs to the action you started.

What happens when an OTP code is detected
When MailOnce recognizes an OTP, the code can appear in the notification or inbox experience with a Copy button. This removes the need to drag-select six digits or search through a styled marketing email.
If several codes have been requested, the newest message and sender still matter. A detected code should be treated like a credential: use it only for the service and action you expected.

How verification links are handled
Verification links follow a different flow because clicking a URL can change account state or send the browser to another site. When a link is eligible for direct opening, MailOnce can show an Open action alongside Show message.
The user can therefore go straight from the incoming message to the expected confirmation step while still having the option to inspect the full email.
Why some links are not opened directly
MailOnce does not turn every detected URL into a direct-open button. A link that is suspicious, malformed or otherwise not eligible for direct opening should not be launched automatically from the inbox.
In that case, the safer behavior is to avoid offering direct Open and let the user copy the address if they recognize the sender and deliberately choose to inspect it elsewhere. That keeps MailOnce from making the trust decision on the user’s behalf.

What detection does — and does not — guarantee
Detection tells you what MailOnce found in the message; it does not prove that the sender is legitimate, that the account action was requested by you, or that every link on the internet is safe.
The context still matters: expected sender, expected action, recent timestamp and the service you were actually using. If those do not line up, opening the message first is the better choice.
